Big River Bids

Big River Bids is an online application to assist in managing grain offers. It syncs with DTN Portal accounts, so you can see updated cash sale offers at any time of day or night.

Schwabe became involved in Big River’s project early and assisted them with managing multiple scope expansions and design changes, eventually winning them a judgment against the City for substantial completion and compensation.

Getting Started

Big River Steel LLC in northeast Arkansas is reported to be fielding funding offers from several steelmakers and investment groups as billions flood into domestic steel production thanks to increasing steel prices and tariffs on Chinese imports. When approached by Talk Business & Politics with inquiries regarding these offers or auction processes, a spokesperson from Big River Steel declined to provide more specifics and only confirmed they are fielding offers.

Producers may deliver their grain for cash sale anytime and defer payment until a date that works best for them. Furthermore, they can access cash bids and contract offers 24/7 through the DTN Portal online offer center.

Phone Bidding

Big River Telephone is a competitive local exchange carrier providing digital telecommunication services to cable operators across the U.S. This carrier provides wholesale solutions that enable cable operators to offer “triple play” video, data, and voice services for their customers.

The company owns and operates under a federally licensed Advanced Wireless Services spectrum known as AWS-1, which is used for mobile voice and data services such as messaging and video services. AWS-1 replaces Multipoint Multichannel Distribution Service or MMDSM spectrum; AWS-1 operates out of Cass County, Texas, while being privately owned by its management team; it typically engages financial advisors as they navigate this auction process and review offers made.

Live Bidding

Live auction buyers can use giant river bids on their smartphone or tablet to place bids during live sales, enabling them to participate without traveling directly to the location of an auction.

Buyers must register an online bidding account through Big River’s website in order to bid. Once written, a bidder number and password will be generated and sent via email; these credentials will enable live sale bidding.

Once an auction has concluded, Big River Bids publishes preliminary and verified bid total results (as read during bid opening), including subcontractors named and information on DBE, SBE, and Veteran-Owned Businesses. Please be aware that there may be a slight delay between when your bid is submitted and when it actually gets placed, so be sure to put it quickly while watching closely!
