Florence by Mills is a vegan beauty line targeting teens recently launched by 15-year-old actress Millie Mills from Stranger Things. In a video she uploaded to Instagram that has since been deleted, Mills attempted to walk viewers through her nighttime skin care regimen using Florence by Mills products like face mist, scrub, cleanser, and lip oil; however, social media quickly saw this video as fake, as it appeared that Mills wasn’t following through with what seemed like her supposed nightly skincare routine.
Brown took to Instagram to apologize for her video, explaining that she is no expert in the beauty industry and attempted to replicate her actual routine. Furthermore, she wanted to share “a quick video showing my process for tonight without expecting such a harsh backlash.”
Florence by Mills, named after Florence Mills, who inspired it, is inspired by her grandmother, her aunt. Mills wanted a beauty line highlighting individuality, courage, and truthfulness, like Eleven in Stranger Things, as she sought to lead change within Generation Z cosmetics and skincare industries.
